Creativity in all its forms is encouraged at Kidsfirst South Brighton.
The following extract from the 1946 Kindergarten Chronicle explains the kindergarten’s coming about…
“For several years a bus-load of bright-eyed children have been travelling each morning at 9am to the Nuffield Kindergarten from their homes in South Brighton and now the time has come for them to have their own special Kindergarten in the attractive room of the surf pavilion at South Brighton.”
“Judging by the building activity in South Brighton our new Kindergarten is destined to be a boon to many more homes and families in the near future.”
The Chronicle got it right about that, the kindergarten is still a central part of the South Brighton community today.
