The kindergarten makes the most of its surrounding natural environment, which is reflected in its spatial design.
We’re still digging through the cupboards and opening old boxes, talking to current and previous teachers and piecing together the story of our kindergarten. It’s not always easy to remember everything, or to find that photo album from years ago – but we’re looking, and loving what we’re finding.

The kindergarten’s big backyard has exciting features for tamariki to explore year-round.
The kindergarten’s head teacher, Yvonne Hetherton, said upon opening that there was a “sense of excitement” amongst the East Rolleston community.
