Wheelathon’s are a big event in the kindy calendar.
Many of our kindergartens have undergone significant change over the years. Quite a few have changed names, many have moved location. As an organisation, we’ve seen these changes take place in response to the Depression, World Wars, and most recently the Canterbury earthquakes.
But no matter what, the emphasis has always remained on the children, the teaching and the development.
Whether it’s relaxing on the beautiful reserve that complements the kindergarten’s suburban position (top image), or revelling in the excitement of the kindergarten’s trikeathon (bottom image), Ilam Kindergarten has always been a welcoming and child-focused centre, dedicated to providing the best early childhood education for every child that walks in the door.
Ilam kindergarten’s big backyard space has always encouraged tamariki to get outside and explore.
At Kidsfirst Ilam, diversity has long been celebrated, with whānau sharing their culture and experiences with tamariki and other members of the kindergarten whānau.
